asbestos REMOVAL

SimplyReno Inc offers the following asbestos removal services:

  • Paper Duct Wrap

When removing ACM paper duct wrap the following steps should be followed:

  • Proper Personal Protective Equipment for the workers removing asbestos, including the proper face mask

  • Amended water is applied to the ACM in order to reduce the amount of airborne fibers during the removal

  • Carefully loosen the register boot

  • Remove the paper duct wrap using a hepa vacuum 

  • The ACM will be double bagged and then be properly disposed of following the Ontario Regulation 278/05

When removing other forms of ACM the following steps should be followed

  • Proper Personal Protective Equipment for the workers removing asbestos, including the proper face mask

  • The area should be contained prior to disturbing the ACM

  • Hepa scrubbers should be installed within the contained area to clean the air of any airborne fibers

  • Amended water is applied to the ACM in order to reduce the amount of airborne fibers during the removal

  • Carefully remove the ACM 

  • The containment will be thoroughly hepa vacuum after the removal the clean up any remaining dust and fibers left on the surface

  • The ACM will be double bagged and then be properly disposed of following the Ontario Regulation 278/05

Many of the same steps are involved when removing unwanted mold from your indoor environment, as when you are removing asbestos.

  • Proper Personal Protective Equipment for the workers removing asbestos, including the proper face mask

  • The area should be contained prior to disturbing the mouldy materials

  • Hepa scrubbers should be installed within the contained area to clean the air of any airborne mould spores

  • Carefully remove the mouldy materials until you have removed approximately 2 feet of clean material in each direction

  • Clean any visible mould from framing, concrete walls and/ or floors

  • Apply an anti-microbial agent to the cleaned area

  • The containment will be thoroughly hepa vacuum after the removal the clean up any remaining dust and spores left on the surface 

  • Find and repair the water source before rebuilding the area
